- WHAT'S NEW WITH THIS RELEASE
-
- Since the first general release (0.93.05), the following major changes
- have been made (all for the better, I hope):
-
- three new block styles were been added and the "filler" style was
- modified (several times) [0.93.07, 0.94, 0.94.05];
-
- brain-damaged EGA palette support was added [0.93.07] and (later)
- not-as-brain-damaged-as-it-once-was EGA palette support was
- substituted in its place [0.94];
-
- an extra level of play was added (and level advancement subsequently
- modified to reflect this) [0.94];
-
- really limited sound effects [0.94];
-
- a way to bypass the opening title screen [0.94];
-
- a way to quick exit (Ctrl-\) [0.94.05];
-
- and a key bindings option was added, including a user-defined mode
- and two Tetris compatible modes (i.e., with "correct" rotation),
- thereby resulting in a change of the in-play toggle keys [0.94.04,
- 0.94.06].
-
- The next major release of egaint (0.95) is tenatively scheduled for late
- January 1990 (as opposed to those previous two-day old wonders); look in
- the included file GETTING for information on obtaining it.
